Slippage

In shortThe difference between the price you expect and the price you actually get.

Slippage happens when the market moves while your order fills, or when there isn't enough liquidity at your price. On a DEX you set a "slippage tolerance"; set it too high and bots can sandwich your trade.

Example

You click "swap" expecting 1,000 tokens and receive 970: you had 3% slippage.
