With 10x leverage, $100 controls a $1,000 position: a 5% move in your favor makes 50%, and a move of roughly 10% against you wipes out the whole $100 through liquidation.
Most traders who use high leverage lose money. Small leverage, a stop-loss and proper position sizing are the minimum.
